Hello all my dear friends across the globe who are reading this,
First of all even though I am not exactly a believer, I would like to wish you all a Great Christmas. I have not updated my blog in a while, but it's been a very busy time. I have had my exams to go through - boy that was a slog! Five exams in six days is not what I call humane or fun. But, sorry Prof Davison, I am SOOO pleased to see the back of you and accounting. Ah Accounting and I...It's like putting an hippopotamus on ice skates. Never ever EVER going to work.
I am now in Calabria for the festivities and I am taking a big hit this year since I will be spending 20 (yes no typo there) days here with dear Mum and Dad…Mum has actually broken her wrist so I will have a fair share of hospital visits whilst I am here. That also means that I have cooked the Christmas meal this year. A turkey!!! Well nothing special about a turkey right? Only thing is that being the manly man I am I had to go one up on last year when I killed the chicken. This year I had to kill the turkey!! Thing is - a turkey is a strong animal and my Dad is a stubborn old goat too! Why am I bringing my Dad into this? Because, since I was going to cut the turkey’s neck, he wanted me to keep the blood from the turkey (gruesome I know!!!) for the dogs…So, my Mum forces me to do it outside and there I am outside armoured with a knife, a bowl and the turkey (still alive). Mum and Dad are not going to help me so here I am with the turkey’s body stuck between my knees, I am holding the knife with my right hand and the neck with my right one. The turkey is trying its best to get the hell out of this and the dogs have gone in a frenzy as I am trying to kill the bird!
I look as if I am humping the turkey by now and as soon as the blood starts to flow, the dogs are all over the bowl and are also in the process of licking my hands, face and the turkey of course! A bloody mess is surely the right way to describe this/
NEXT YEAR IT’S GOT TO BE A PIG!
All for this little update, my next blog will be about taking stock on the current year and what I will do in the next.
Love and Peace
